While searching for Okinawan music and dance - I remember I saw some traditional music performance at a restaurant along the main shopping belt 8 years ago. I am so glad I stumbled across Urashima, and it was near our hotel at Asahibashi station as well. This should be a top 5 attraction in all of... Okinawa - the food selection was slightly different from the usual Okinawan fare (or done differently) and great, the service was on point (and they also figured a way to minimise disruption during showtime), they offer dishes that you cannot find elsewhere normally (Irabu sea snake - you can order this off the menu). The menus also come in English/Japanese and the staff can speak some English. The whole ensemble is a solid 5/5, perfect for an Okinawan experience and a must do - you can even book via the website and receive a slight discount (as of Jan 2024). Do not miss this at all!!

This place was amazing! Super polite staff, excellent service(so attentive!), good food, and wonderful show! My wife loved the show; we took photos with them afterwards(the staff kindly offered). My son loved the pork shabu shabu. We had the Dinner A 12 course dinner; each serving wasn't huge but ju...st right so by the end you are not over-stuffed but definitely satisfied. Dinner A(Okinawan and Japanese course); water included. Beer and soft drinks not included; appetizer(tempura, fish, etc), mimiga(marinated thinly sliced pig ears and peanut vinegar, it was very good), mozuku(seaweed with vinegar), jimami tofu, sashimi(tuna, marlin, and squid), agu shabu shabu(pork shabu shabu; my son's favorite, everyone is served a small hot pot to simmer the pork and veggies), grilled spiny lobster(this was so-so), rafute(okinawan braised pork belly, I liked it, a little sweet), chawan-mushi(steamed egg custard), japanese tempura(really good; shrimp, eggplant, pumpkin), rice, crab miso soup(very good), pickles(side dish for your rice), dessert(pineapple, refreshing). Of course the performance commands silence so unless your child is extremely well behaved it might be hard for the young ones. We booked this as part of our tour with cerulean-blue; noticed that it's cheaper to book this dinner as part of a tour rather than going to the restaurant directly(based on their prices listed on their website).

As part of the tour, this dinner place was easy to find by self drive from DFS. Food is good and tasty and the traditional show was awesome! If you want to check out some traditional Japanese dance shows while have a Aomori (I guess this is how it spells for this local sake), this is the right choic...e, and you can have a pic at 20:30 with the performers. Worth recommended.

We were very surprised after reading all the good reviews about Urashima, that the restaurant was empty when we arrived. We ordered one of the set menus, and it was absolutely delicious. The meal prices were substantial, but not when you consider you get the entertainment included. I really enjoyed... the show, which was delivered in two halves, separated by an hour. It was a really good evening - highly recommend it!
