“Great Udon place”
A great and reasonably priced place to eat udon. Their broth and udon are really good and even the side veggies are very tasty. I ordered the beef udon and my daughter had a simple udon with tempura and squid as side dishes. We both enjoyed them and now I have this as my favorite udon resto in Chata...n.

“Favorite 🍜 Udon spot”
I absolutely love this place. It's a franchise in Okinawa...Mainland too? not sure. Always affordable. Always reliable. Always delicious. Pick your soup...I go for the Kake Soba...pretty normal. I don't really understand the rest of the soup choices. Bring a local if you want to get in depth. Then a...dd fresh tempura - chicken, shrimp, lotus root, sweet potato, and the mixed veggies...omg it's the best combo...udon and tempura. GO!

“Never Disappoints!”
The wife and I usually go to Marugame's for lunch at least once every two weeks. Who does not like fresh soba udon?!? What I love about this place is the consistency of taste either from the fresh udon or the variety of tempura. And when you realize you spent only $10 for two people for lunch and fe...el quite full, another added bonus!

“Very Good Fresh Udon and Tempura”
A couple friends and I tried this place and I was presently surprises. Like many Japanese small quick server restaurants, the menu is limited. The udon is made right in the shop and cooked fresh. Udon noodles are thicker and heavier than ramen or soba. Unlike other similar shops, the udon is ser...ved without a broth. You have a choice of different topping which are mixed into the udon. There is an English menu and while the staff does not speak any English finger pointing works. I was adventuresome and got the Menta-Kamatama Udon, Pollack roe with a raw egg, dry seaweed, and green onions. It was very good, though the noodles could have been hotter to cook the egg a bit more. It wasn’t fishy at all, but had a rich taste. There are many varieties and you can add extra ingredients. The shop is cafeteria style you walk through the line with your tray. Order your noodles 1st. Then you can select several types of tempura, including shrimp. You pay for your meal in Yen and then find a table. There is hot tea in a dispenser and several sauces and condiments you can add. The food was good, but don’t let the tempura sit too long, it gets soggy quickly. And the price was VERY reasonable. I will go back.
