タコライスcafe きじむなぁ 恩納村店

After spending time at the beach, taco rice always sounds refreshing. I found this restaurant as it was on the way back home. There is a large parking area nearby. When you get here, you order, pay, grab your number, they call it, then you pick it up and eat. They have a few taco rice selections, I ...got the teriyaki and my wife got the bacon and mozzarella. When the taco rice was done, it looked so good on their fancy bowls, great presentation! The taco rice itself was very good, perfect for lunch! We were both satisfied. The restaurant was very clean and modern inside. I would definitely come back here.

The beauty of Japanese culture is their rigid rules, and sometimes that's also their worst enemy. I was excited to try tacorice for the first time with my elder parents and bf. We came on a very windy, cold cloudy Thursday. When we entered the restaurant, I saw one larger table was empty with dirty... plates, and another smaller table for two that's clean and not occupied by anyone. She put our name on the waiting list, and said we have to wait outside. I asked if we can wait in their rather spacious entrance area inside, because I didn't want my elders to stand in the wind facing the ocean on such a cold day. She looks at me and says "house rule please wait outside" I was baffled. If it was good or normal weather, or you have a full house I can understand. We were literally the only ones waiting for a table that's already empty with just a two plates she could've cleared in 30 seconds. The wind is blowing super hard, it's cold, like no one is on the beach/pool. Where is the hospitality??!! Omotenashi doko desu ka???!!! I promise you if there were other nearby options I would have left. So we stand outside and wait, a few minutes later a couple walks in. Surprisingly they too had to walk outside and wait with us. Remember I said earlier in my review there was a table for two that was clean and unoccupied? I guess this is another "house rule please everybody wait outside so we look busy and popular". I recommend everyone go find your tacorice somewhere else. Bad business practices, can't tell if it's "rules" or just slow and lazy employees. I look forward to seeing a response from the business saying "Oh I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, we like to make up rules to inconvenience customers."
