My family and I were walking back to the MRT station when my mother noticed this restaurant on the left side of her view; I decided to have a second dinner. I did not eat a lot of the tempura, but when I took bites regarding the lobster tempura, I was impressed with the flavors and juices in the dis...h. The sauce and salt really enhances the flavor. I would recommend this restaurant for visitors that want to look for an easy-to-find restaurant for tempura.

This is an excellent tempura place with outstanding service and superb food, yet at an extremely reasonable price. The tentsuyu comes with three separate garnishes and the dishes are cooked in front of you and served as soon as they are ready. The staff are wonderful (the chef noticed I was low on t...entsuyu and within seconds a colleague had topped me up before I'd even noticed!) and the ambience of the place is comfortable yet classy. A really top place to visit if you want real tempura

I was in the Shinjuku area and wanted to eat tempura. This is simply the best tempura restaurant you can find. The batter is light and crispy. You sit at the bar counter and the chef goes about frying the tempura so you get served the morsel piping hot. I ordered the Edomae set - it’s a very filling... set with prawns, anago, crab, squid and all manner of vegetables fried perfectly. The wasabi salt and radish with soy goes perfectly with the tempura. Don’t speak Japanese? No worries! They have English menu and an instruction page to show you how to eat tempura with the dips. Definitely worth a visit !

Crazy good tempura! A friend of mine in Tokyo told me about it. Amazingly delicious real deal old school tempura but not super expensive. They have a bar you can sit up stairs or downstairs and be there watching the fabulous chefs. The wasabi salt is out of this world! You can buy it when you leave....

We visited this restaurant 12 years previously and this next visit or two, really did not disappoint us. This restaurant is steeped in history and takes the preparation of your food very seriously. It has a mixture of tatami rooms and bench seats over looking the various cooking areas. We experie...nced both eating experiences and would highly recommend the bench cooking to watch the theatre of the cooking. We ate the set menus with a variety of vegetables, fish and prawns – served with miso and rice. The restaurant have an instruction sheet for those not sure how to eat the tempura – which sauces to use, which salts to use, which oils to use. The food is amazing – their tempura prawns are extremely large and fresh! I could just eat a whole plate of these. Add the wasabi salt to these and you cannot beat it. If you are looking for a great deal – head for lunchtime tempura treat for 1500 yen! You come away highly stuffed.
