Gathered with good friends and discover this lovely place. Great Japanese food &drink experience. Good stuff, several range if local food and interesting sake introduction/challenge by a real sake Master. All very good, in a nice room, nice atmosphere, with good service and adequate prices. If yo...u coming to Tokyo I encourage you to drop by and try their sashimi, tempura, tunna, sake, Eda mane... At at the end, a great souvenir as you will have your name written in Kanji, hahaha, just hilarious. Unforgivable experience.

“Would like to know about Sake? Visit this place!”
Best place to experience Japanese Sake. Private room type Japanese restaurant. Good to visit with family, friends and for business dinner. I went with my friends and had Iberiko pork shabu shabu course meal. Course also included other japanese cuisine such as fresh salad, sashimi, tempura. It was a...ll delicious. The best part is they served a Sake tasting set with short Quiz game. I thought it is very nice opportunity for foreigners who’d like know about Japanese Sake culture. Ninja costume dressed waiter kindly explained how sake is made, it’s types and the differences. They served 3 types and we had tasting as much as we wanted. In the end there was a nice Kanji calligraphy gift. Really appreciate their kind service. I’d like to visit again.

“The must of Izakaya experience!”
We went with some friends after school. The place is around the corner from Akasaka Station, from outside the façade is super cool and inside as well gives you a nice Japanese vibe, architecture is part of the experience, thumbs up!!! We got a nice chamber just for us, with a Japanese Hot Pot, a be...st value meal course that covers from Sashimi, to Shabu shabu, Tenpura and even Udon Noodles to dip in the pot. Of course, the “All you can drink” is awesome but the highlight was a SAKE NINJA! They will guide you on a sake tasting, explaining the basics in a fun way. I will top it as the best on my list since you can have a broad Japanese experience in one place. At the end we got laughs, an awesome night and everyone got a great souvenir: a board with your name in Kanji!! Trust me, your name looks cooler in Kanji! The staff was very attentive and the menu was in English so no worries! Banya seems to have other stores so I will recommend it for business and for special occasions as well, definitely going with more people.

“Good shabu-shabu with sake tasting!”
Walking with my friends around Akasaka looking for a place to drink we found this place. I had gone to a different branch before and had a very good experience so my expectations were high, and they managed to keep surprising me! The room was private with a nice traditional Japanese feeling. The sta...ff were extremely kind and attentive. The food was very good, with the main dish being pork shabu-shabu which was very tasty. The course also included other dishes like noodles, smoked salmon, tempura, raw fish and salad. The big part of the night came with a ninja teaching us about types of sake and letting us have a sake tasting experience, it was both instructive and fun! We continued the night drinking and after the dessert they gave us our names written in kanji as a souvenir! It was an awesome night, the staff made it great for us. If you get the chance you should definitively visit!

“Sake tasting given by a ninja”
Me and my friends went after a concert to have a dinner in this shop in Akasaka. We choose it because it has private rooms where you can have fun with your friends without meeting other people. That is nice if you have your own way of partying. The menu was available in English as well as the servic...e. We took the shabu-shabu dinner set they offered. In the middle of the dinner a ninja appeared and he offered us to play a sake game. We had to try tree different types of sake. He explained us in advance the kinds of sake we will drink. To we had to guess which one is which. I couldn't get it but my friend did it. After that we had a drink-as-much-as-you-want service for the rest of the night. I have to say the service was very friendly. Also we received a special gift at the end of the night. It was a cardboard with our names written in kanji! I have always wanted to know how to write my name in kanji! I recommend going and checking it out.
