Royal Garden Cafe 青山

It has very nice view. The staff are very cute and kind. I could have comfortable time. I want to go again.

Three of us ( my husband, a friend of ours and myself) found this cafe by chance after hours of walking up and down streets of Tokyo. By appearance, it had a nice ambient atmosphere when we entered the cafe, but after being seated for a while we realised that the service was not what we expected to ...be: unattentive staff who barely made any eye contacts when I tried to grab their attention by raising hands. I was ignored several times by a staff who came nearby to serve another customer. Was it because two of our entourage were foreigners, which migt have put them off ? Were they afraid of serving 'gaijin' guests because they don't have good commands of English ? I have no ideas, anyway finally I managed to get one of their attention after 10 minutes. We had one of the cafe with coffee ( latte) each, but were not impressed with the quality of the food being served. I had Tiramisu, which looked like someone sneezed on with whipped cream and my husband and our friend had a Creme Brulee, which wasn't really a Creme Brulee according to my husband who is a bit of gourmet eater. The Latte was luke warm and I could drink it straight away after being served. I am sorry the quality was not really up to the standard expected for the price we paid, but I cannot believe lots of people here have given fairly good review. We felt we could have gone back to some places like Ueno or Shimbashi to bites to eat, which would be good value for money and possibly far better service.

I had dinner there. I ve taken large Fresh salad, carpaccio and creme brûlée. All in all was very tasty. Wine list available by glass could be Improved. Service is casual. Very nice terrace. All in all good value for casual dinner.

great foods... pleasant staff...free wifi and free use of Apple laptop computers.... will absolutely go back here to dine in when i get a chance..

Finished the design show and stopped in for a coffee and ended up eating and drinking. Enjoyed ourselves and would recommend if you are in the neighbourhood. Other more expensive options around but this hot the spot. Friendly service and clean.
