“Authentic Japanese Local Pub Experience”
With friends visiting a local family member, it was recommended to try this experience. It was fun & lively; filled with local residents. Staff was helpful & jovial - eager to make it real for us. “Wow, what a great place this was”
Unbelievable atmosphere, terrific food and great sake. This Isakaya is one never to forget. Apparently it is a very popular spot since people came in the whole evening in huge numbers. Luckily I was with family and a Japanese friend so language was not an issue. The food was absolutely superb. I lo...ved the bonito sashimi. I can definitely advice this Isakaya if you are in the neighbourhood.

“新鮮素材が売りの下北らしい居酒屋”
下北沢らしい活気のある居酒屋。オイスターバーが経営しているだけあって新鮮な魚介類が食べられるのでおすすめです！ Here is a Shimokitazawa-ish tavern with a lively. Running by oyster bar, you can eat fresh seafood!

“Great Food”
This was a typical Japanese bar/ cafe. The atmosphere is loud and informal. The food is amazing and the service is fast and efficient. So many dishes to taste. Can get crowded so go early.

“Great find in Shimokitazawa”
I stumbled upon this place while walking in Shimokitazawa one afternoon. They have a small menu in English with some photos but the Japanese menu seemed so much longer that I asked for "omakase" meaning that I let the waiter choose some dishes for me and I received a mix of things, some pickles, sa...shimi, nice fresh raw vegetables with a variety of dips. yakitori, tempura and a cold beer. Everything was delicious and super fresh. Service was lovely. I highly recommend the place and would love to return next time I am in Tokyo.
