We were looking for a place with quiet, intimate atmosphere and good food to celebrate an anniversary. Times are hard all over and so we were also looking for a place that wouldn't break our bank. Mangia Mangia delivered. We called the day before and reserved a window table that provides a specta...cular view of Yokohama. Our reservation was at sundown, which just made it all that more amazing. But best of all, we were assigned a young server named Hare (hah-rhey), I suspect because of his English-speaking ability. Not to say he was fluent. In fact, he was quite apprehensive at the beginning. But as we all got more comfortable with each other, the communication hurdles evaporated and this young man went above and beyond, and provided us with a truly memorable meal. Mangia Mangia has several courses to choose from, but if you want to go all in, then the Brooklyn course is the one you want. It's Italian cuisine with a definitive Japanese take and it was fantastic. But don't be afraid to lean on a menu, as there are a multitde of alternative dishes to choose from. And the wine list is satisfactory. In a nutshell, Mangia Mangia is exceptional ambiance supported by a respectable menu and a view without peer... one that gets even better at night. With a price tag that is quite easy to digest.

Perhaps it was the language. However, starters arrived with mains. The prime rib arrived 20 mins after the first mains was served. One steak ordered medium rare - arrived raw. As in not cooked and cold. It was returned and was not credited off of the bill It could happen? But at no time did any...one from management or staff arrive to ask how the meal was. Perhaps there is a reason why it wasn’t full...you can do better.

If there ever was an example of Japanised Western food, this would be it. Not saying in anyway that it wasn't good, just wasn't what I expected. But nice view, great service, reasonable ish price.

誕生日などのおすすめのレストラン。早めに予約して窓側の席を取れるようになります。横浜ベイと観覧車がよく見える、とても美しいの景色です。 食べ物の値段と味はオケです。一皿は少し大きなのであまり食べない人はたくさん注文しないほうがいいです。 This restaurant is a very great place for celebration, given the fact that the view is spectacular (the view of Yokohama Bay and the giant ferris wheel). Book earlier to request a ...place near the window to enjoy the view. The food was also very good but be careful if you do not eat that much, the portion is quite large. Price is okay for the ambience and service, a little bit expensive but would be perfect for celebration. Live music provided was very excellent. my boyfriend had his birthday celebrated here and they sang happy birthday!

I was recommended to try Mangia Mangia not necessarily for the food but the live music, well I can say the music is nothing to write about, but the food is great. I called in without reservation, and was asked to return 15 minutes later, this was disappointing as I could clearly see free tables thr...ough the darkened glass. Anyhow 15 minutes later, we arrived and were shown to table, the wait was worth it as the table had very nice views of the city. The food was great, appetisers doing just what they were supposed to, a great taste sensation before the main course. For main course we each had different pasta, I opted for the chicken fettuccine which had brilliant taste and balance of richness. We selected the entry level wine, a fine tasting red from Umbria, just the right balance for the pasta. I will certainly go back again, only next time I’ll be sure to make a reservation. By the way, the music is ok too :-)
