“Authentic Japanese lunch”
During our trip to Japan we took walking tour around Tokyo famous attractions. During the tour we had lunch and our guide recommended Tofuro restaurants. This is traditional Japanese restaurant with many small eating rooms, most of them are equipped with tatami, so shoes have to be taken off. The de...cor is authentic old Japanese style. We ordered soba noodles ( noodles made of buckwheat flour) with hot fish stock and tempura. Also we received traditional Japanese tea. It was tasty and it was good experience.

“Don't get the sets!”
Sadly, the gorgeous look and tiny private rooms couldn't make up for the 45-minute wait for food, or the meh sushi. :-( Very sad, because our family was excited to get Ginza Sushi! The good news is that we found a place the next night and had the best sushi of our lives for around $30 more for a par...ty of 6.

“Great place!”
Great place! Local and charming with just amazing food. We had shared two dishes in a class of private room. The staff were very nice and friendly!

“Amazing reproduction of a restaurant as an Edo Village ”
This amazing, lively restaurant is a little hard to find since its two stories down and located at a subway exit. The first impression you get when you exit the elevator is that you are entering an old Edo time period village at night. The pathway is lined on both sides with authentic looking stru...ctures which really house restaurant tables which come in different styles. There is a creek which runs a water wheel in this high ceiling atmospheric structure. We didn’t have reservation and were sat at a private booth with a cloth piece offering even more privacy. We soon learned that you needed to press the button on the wall to summon the waiter who was very helpful and patient. We ordered a few pieces of sushi and a soba/tempura set each along with our draft beers. It was all excellent and we enjoyed sitting and chatting while enjoying the atmosphere.
