“Wide range of good quality Japanese food”
We normally visit Ganko several times during our visits to Japan. Situated on the 6th floor of the building, it is not a place generally frequented by overseas tourists. In addition to several lunches, we have also used the restaurant for reunions with my old colleagues from my three year assignmen...t in Japan. The restaurant has a central counter and a large number of small rooms, some of which are dedicated to private functions. There is a wide range of Japanese food, all of good quality and reasonably priced. Service is good, with attentive kimono clad waitresses. Near to Ueno station and the Ameyoko market, this is a very convenient place for lunch, if visiting the market or Ueno park or the zoo.

“Love this place”
Good value for your money. My new friend in Tokyo brought me there for dinner, we shared a set menu meal with 2 appetizers - fish & fresh tofu (the tofu was delicious & I ate it plain without additional seasoning to enjoy the real flavor). Not bland at all like the tofu here. Total was 1226 yen/ pp
