“Overcharge and poor customer service”
Came here with my colleague for dinner last week. The waiter/waitress barely spoke English, but they gave us an English menu. We saw the set menu with three different price levels, but it did not mention what was included in the set, which was pretty weird. After we insisted that the waiters should ...explain to us what were included in the set, she brought over three mini menus with dishes listed for each set. We thought two of us could order one set (Yuki), which was 20K Yen, and add two more dishes, the waiter / waitress brought us the food, we were surprised that the portion was big and apparently they should have told us to not order the two additional dishes. As you can imagine, we could not finish the meat included in the set menu, and the two additional orders of meat were barely touched . We were very tired that day and did not look at the itemized bill until we got back to the hotel. And guess what? They charged us the set menu TWICE! As they counted two sets, it was 20K per person (which was NOT marked on their menu), and 40K for two of us! The waitress did NOT even caution us that it was already a LOT of food. The lack of transparency is really appalling! I could never imagine that a well known Japanese restaurant would be this sneaky. When I asked my hotel to reach out to them and complained about the experience, the lady at the restaurant simply said sorry in the email and did not come up with ANY solution or suggestion to resolve the issue. I just want to say, shame on you Jojoen Yugentei! Your poor communication with the customers and incompetency to resolve the dispute jeopardized your reputation. We will never come back.

“Expensive, but still enjoyable”
There are plenty of other choices of yakiniku, but this is still a decent place to visit but be prepared to pay more than what some other places may charge. You can get private rooms should your party be large enough (ours was 6) and you can also smoke in the rooms. Usual selection of the beef dis...hes that you cook at your table.
