“2002 Iron Chef Champion”
For those who remember the Iron Chef Japan TV show, this chef was the champion back in 2002. Sure it is a long time ago, but cooking skills do not get lost over time, especially not when you run a restauant daily. For what it's worth, he apparently also cooked for the embassy in Boston, Chicago & ...Detroit, and served as the Japanese guest chef for the trustees of the New York Metropolitan Museum at a special event at one point. Look no further for an authentic kaiseki meal.

“Excellent but expensive kaiseki restaurant”
This small kaiseki restaurant is excellent and can be a price shock to the average American who is unprepared for prices in Tokyo. Located in a small street about a block off the main Ginza.. Each of the 16 courses are a work of art by Chef/Owner Kimio Nonaga, an Iron Chef Award Champion for 2002.... You will have an unforgettable dinner and the service by the hostess who does speak English is friendly, helpful but not intrusive. It was a great experience and made the price of the meal justifiable. Food: 7/5 (I do not recall ever giving a 7!), Sservice: 5/5, Decor: 5/5 Contemporary, spotless, and very attractive. Price: $$$$$

“Real feast for the senses! ”
This was one of our favourite meals in Japan. I made a reservation via our hotel earlier and we were warmly welcomed. They have differently priced kaiseki meals which you can select during the reservation. The restaurant is small and cozy, with a warm ambience. Each dish was beautifully presented,... and tasted wonderful. There is one lady who can speak some English, and she kindly tried to explain some of the dishes to us. At the end of the meal, you can also take home the napkin, which has some kanji on it, as a souvenir. It was an excellent meal and I'm glad I chose this restaurant for my husband's birthday dinner.

“Great food....very enjoyable experience! ”
Food was beautifully prepared with great attention to detail and presentation. Simple yet exquisite flavours. The waitress was extremely helpful and provided a lot of information regarding each dish and its ingredients. Quite expensive but definitely worth the money.

“Dinner with an Iron Chef champion”
I was drawn into this restaurant by its beautifully austere exterior (no signs) and the lovely kimono-glad lady rinsing the front walk in preparation for opening. This was a very lucky break after wandering aimlessly in the Nihonbashi neighborhood near my hotel looking for some place interesting to... dine. The restaurant is as beautiful on the inside as its exterior. I was seated at the counter where I was able to watch Chef Kimio Nonaga (2002 Iron Chef Champion) meticulously prepare most of my nine-course kaiseki meal. Each course was beautiful and delicious and its contents thoroughly explained by the two servers who attended to me. Those lovely ladies took great care of me and sent me off with a souvenir napkin. I enjoyed delicious food, a beautiful and tranquil setting; it was a wonderful 2+ hour dining experience.
