Our friends and us had a wonderfully authentic and traditional Japanese dining experience. The food was sensational and the room was full of ambience. The hosts were very gracious and accomodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the wholw experience! Thank you so much Sakurada and staff, we think you are won...derful people.😊

“A Great Experience”
We found this delightful restaurant on our last night in Asakusa. We were very lucky to just walk in off the street and get a table as within a few minutes of our arrival the place was full and others were turned away. We had a lovely meal where we chose three pieces of meat each to barbeque on a li...ttle grill. It came with all the other small dishes for us to try. The fellow who appeared to be the owner showed us what to do and the method of how to prepare the meal. As we had never experienced this before we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

“Go back into to the Edo Period to experience Old Japan flavor!”
Amazing experience having dined at Sakurada Restaurant in the Asakusa Taito area! Since they didn't have soy sauce during this era, the sauce is made up of sa-ke, umeboshi (Japanese salted/picked plums) and katsuo (fish flakes). Who would have thought Japanese food w/o soy sauce could taste so good...! The best was cooking our own rice crackers on the charcoal grill right in front of us! So fun to watch it "dancing" while it became brown and toasted. I will go back again if I'm ever in Japan!

“Great experience !!!”
We had such a great night at this restaurant. We were welcomed with large enthousiasm, and the hosts were so friendly to help us pick a dinner and cook the fish and meat on the BBQ. Great traditional food. Wholeheartedly recommended! A must-go for tourists.

“delicious delicious delicious ”
Don't get why there aren't more reviews on this place. It is so delicious!!! From the moment you step into this restaurant they treat you with the upmost tender love and care. They're the sweetest people and have the most amazing food. It is a very fun dining experience and definitely worth making ...a stop for. This beats all the Michelin star meals I've had in Japan. I will definitely visit every trip. Already missing you Sumiyaki Sakurada and nice grandpa san!!
