東京焼肉 平城苑 浅草総本店

Upon arrival, we were ushered into a booth which provided a private dining space for us. The server had very little English but with a lot of good will and actions, we managed to convey what we wanted. Thankfully, there is an English version of the menu. We ordered a platter consisting of 7 differ...ent cuts of beef, with excellent marbling in 5 of the varieties. Four slices of each cut were presented so there was more than sufficient beef for the two of us. The beef was tender, succulent and full of flavour. And it came with 3 types of dipping sauce which enhanced the taste of beef. Some slices of beef were marinated and some were left plain. I much preferred the un-marinated slices as I felt I could truly appreciate the original flavour of the beef. We ordered rice to go with the beef but actually, this wasn't necessary at all as there was more than enough food on the platter. The meal went well with a good draft Japanese beer. Prices are a little higher than at an ordinary yakiniku restaurant but it's a good place to go to for a special meal. We will certainly visit this restaurant again.

Great place for (not only) meat. We had 9 small courses of wagyu beef and it was great. We had also a soup that was spectacular. Moreover, they have also english menu that is something always appreciated :-)

Absolutely delicious! I’ve been to a few Yakiniku and this is my favorite. Certainly a spot for a nice dinner out, but prices felt reasonable and there was a wide variety of options so a budget friendly meal is achievable. Loved the Wagyu sirloin with egg yolk and the seafood assortment. I will say ...that with the way staff shares tables, dishes/drinks can get forgotten here and there, but they’re very nice when reminded you were expected a coke/side dish/etc.

Brilliant . We were a walk in for 2. My son and I The man behind the counter sat us - worked through the menu together and took our Order Waiters was. Fantastic . Food straight out and beautiful It's a must try

Excellent restaurant! We had a fun experience in an intimate room for four. We choose a selection of meat and fish and cooked it over a grill in the center of the table. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious. Located in Asaskusa, near the Senso-ji Temple.
