“Very Walk-Up Snack Restaurant”
We chanced our arm by going up to the 3rd Floor to try Rakuzo izakaya (snack-style) restaurant in Akasaka-Mitsuke, and we were not disappointed. We rocked up on a busy Friday night (right at the end of RWC2019) and had to wait just a few minutes for a room to become available. All the rooms are priv...ate ones. Food ordering is done using a tablet device on the dining table. This has enough explanation in English to be useable by itinerant rugby fans who do not speak Japanese. We ordered some sashimi, chilli-seasoned noodles and about a dozen snack skewers. We were not too hungry and the amount was about right. Hungrier diners could usefully order more. The food was very tasty and the service almost lightning-fast. The decor is very stylish and all in all this was a good dining experience.

“Excellent izakaya food, amazing value”
We had a bit of everything here, from Hokkaido corn, to sushi, to yakitori and even fried hormon (Intestines). Everything was simply delicious, well presented and worth the price. They are all private rooms. In the heart of Akasaka. We'll be back!
