We went as a group for an informal business lunch and I ordered the Kamakura vegetable set, with an additional dessert. The meals here are of excellent quality using locally-sourced Kamakura vegetables (the area is known nationwide for its vegetables, so it's a local specialty!). The set was great a...nd the perfect size for someone like me, who has a small appetite. Those ordering the steak may be a little bit disappointed by the size, so be warned that it's not large. All of it was fantastic though, and the dessert at the time was a black sesame tofu pudding, which was divine! It can get very busy so be prepared for a very lively atmosphere.

Visited for lunch on Dec 4th as part of the Samurai Project. Wearing the kimono while eating made it all the more special. There was a good variety, yet it was light to the stomach. Since I live nearby, Kondo is on my return list.

A nice shop close to Kamakura shrine. Shop is top quality food! The shop is a perfect representation of traditional Japanese cuisine. A little pricy for a light meal but the quality really makes up for this. Shop can be crowded because it is popular. A full set serving you get to try many small dish...es with your meal. Service is good. Menu is in Japanese and English but be careful if you have allergies as they might not be prepared for this. I went with a small business party. Service comes out as it is ready so be ready to eat as soon as it comes out. You don't want it to be cold. This is typical for Japanese service so do not worry. I really recommend trying the tempura vegetables or the wage beef. Both are melt in your mouth and will leave you with a huge smile.

I ate the small kaiseki during lunch. Great and elegant plating. Loved the seasonal use of ingredients.
