“poor service & average food”
Came here lately and will probably not go back. The cocktail was average, the service arrogant not to say inattentive. Not being fluent in Japanese I felt dis-classed.

“Stay away if not in a black suit or a local”
This was by far my worst experience in Japan and i have been to many restaurants here. We had a reservation via one of the 5star hotels next door for 8pm and arrived on time. Once we convinced them that it was us we were seated, given an english menue and ordered a cocktail which arrived in 5 min. T...hen absolutely nothing for the next 40min. There were probably 25 guests and i counted at least 5 waiters but not one managed to even look at us or try to take our order. And i made every effort to look bored, closed the menue to make it clear we had choosen and then start to look annoyed. When i then but back my jacket and got up finally someone came over and we had the check for the cocktails in 30 sec. I still struggle to understand what went wrong, as i have experienced Japan as the most polite and friendly place. Maybe we were not dressed like all other men in the restaurant in black suit. And we were the only non Japanese and none of the staff seemed to be able to speak a word of english, maybe they were just "scared", but i could have pointed my fingers at the english menu. Or they just did not care or felt we did not fit. When we left we finally got their attention, 4 of them standing at the door making their excuses.....i wish i had gotten only 1% of that attention before.
