One of the better Sukiyaki I had in Tokyo. Ordered the Kansai style sukiyaki and the Kyoto beef was very good. We ordered the set lunch which cost about 5800 yen per person.

I order sukiyaki whenever I can, and the sukiyaki here was the best I've ever had. The appetizers were so good they could have been offerings on a fancy tasting menu. The Japanese lady in traditional costume explained everything in charming, broken English. We didn't have a reservation and were give...n a table that didn't have the best view, but when I asked permission to take photos of the view from other windows where there were other diners, I was very quickly allowed to do so.

Treated by local friends to the best sukiyaki and shabu shabu beef restaurant for lunch today. Good service and food was prepared and served by staff. Must return for more

Quality of the food was good but service was bad. I didn’t have a reservation and I asked for a window seat but I was told it was not available. A Japanese couple, who also had no reservation, entered after us and requested for a window seat. Lo and behold, there was a window seat available for them...! I didn’t know that you are not supposed to go near the window when there are diners there. I went near and the older waitress immediately snapped at me to ‘STOP’ in English. She even glared at me like as if I’ve committed a heinous crime. I’ve taken photos from the window many times even with diners present at other restaurants. Even if it’s their rule to disallow diners to do so, the lady should’ve told me nicely and not glare and shout at me. Japanese quality service? Yea, only if you are Japanese.
