Dynamic Kitchen ＆ Bar 響 新宿サザンタワー店

An excellent relaxed restaurant. We had seats at the counter which allowed us to watch the highly skilled chefs prepare our food. The place has a tapas fell about it and we had small and medium sized dishes between us on the two nights that we dined there. Good selection of drinks including wine ...and sake.

We’ve had two very nice meals in this stylish restaurant- one here in Shinjuku and the other in Shinagawa. The food was a mix of meat and seafood, beautifully served each time. Not sure about the Hibiki whisky connection - it’s a fine drink but I didn’t try it with my meal.

When we arrived they told us we would be in a private room with a 1200 yen uncharge. Assuming this was because we didn't have a reservation, that was fine. However, when we arrived and left, there were plenty of tables in the main area. This was on top of the service charge that also appears on t...he final bill. The food was good and service fine. Nothing above and beyond many of the other restaurants we've been to in the area.

High quality food served fresh at the bar. Cover charge high but worth it for the piping hot soup and lovely fresh salad created in front of us. We had the sashimi, seared Benita and pork dumplings. All tasty and sashimi particularly fresh. Exquisite presentation.

This bar/ restaurant was at the bottom of our hotel. Inevitably, we gotta give it a try since I’m a big fan of the Suntory hibiki whisky. The food was Soso but imo the price was fair given the location of the place. Wife n I had the waygu beef, japanese pork n fish, few dreams of whisky n the bill ...came to just less then 180 usd. Their draft beer Suntory’s “master’s dream” was 👍🏻👍🏻. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come because they no longer have any special vintages hibiki but still a good place to dine at if ur close by. Try the draft beer if ur here
