“Surprised and disappointed. Sad that one person can make the difference between wanting to come again or not.”
I’ve been a few times with a group. Have always enjoyed the view. The food this time seemed to be ordinary and while attention is paid to presentation generally not memorable as a culinary experience. But what has prompted me to write a review, which I rarely do, is the behavior of who appeared ...to be the lead waiter. Not what you expect in any Japanese restaurant, particularly a high end one, in terms of customer service and creating a welcoming vibe. Quite the opposite. He appeared annoyed and irritated we were there and verbally pushy and rude. Surprised and disappointed

“EXCELLENT DINNER!”
OUTSTANDING LOCATION , Modern restaurant with a elegant open kitchen on top of the sanno tower. Had dinner in a private room ( Japanese Style) very elegant and traditional gourmet set menu In short , a place to enjoy again.

“Classic and consistent”
There are several Shunju outlets in Tokyo and I have received consistently great food and typical Japanese great service. With as many restaurants and long history, it’s hard to keep things at a high level and certainly Shunju has been able to do this. Since it’s first opening to my recent visit I h...ave been consistently satisfied with the overall menu, the preparation, service and the location of several of the outlets. This restaurant remains one of my worldwide favorites

“Good food with great view of the Tokyo skyline”
Dined as a group of 36 people and our friend pre-ordered the course meal. We are given a private dining room with an excellent view of the Tokyo skyline. Shunju is a modern Japanese restaurant, however the food served to us were not the typical Japanese food, nevertheless we enjoyed all of the food... served to us, from the appetizer to the main course. Standout is the charcoal grilled Iberian pork and vegetables. Food was served smoothly, noticed though that the waiter is not friendly at all, does not take time to connect to the diners. Overall, we enjoy the good food and the excellent view.

“Best Japanese food during honeymoon trip”
Visited to experience good Japanese food and ended up having a fantastic meal. Me and my husband shared several meals and all of them were truly delicious. Combined with a superb view of Tokyo this is a must visit if you are in the city.
