“Nah”
Liked the name and the photos so convinced a friend to join me in the basement for lunch. At first the interior looked old school loungey albeit thrown together. In closer inspection the crushed velvet seat cushions were full of holes and very dull with age. The day's special had sold out by 1pm, we... were left with gammon steak and chips, some kind of curry on rice - and we both chose the salmon. A small salad in a large bowl came out and we were invited to help ourselves to soup (they had run out but soon replenished an egg drop broth with choice of toppings) and juice - foul orange cordial, iced coffee and tea but no water. While I must say I enjoyed my salmon with its very tasty, if small, portion of ratatouille and salad and bread - my friend wasn't so impressed it lay in a puddle of butter in the plate. Lucky I love butter. Perhaps this is better as a night drinking venue?
