“Best chicken in town!”
You know it's legit if the locals come here for 1 signature dish: chicken & egg served with rice. Other items such as fried chicken (karaage), yakitori and beers were also solid. Chicken (tor/鶏) is def the main theme here. From the start it was clear we were the only "outsiders" but they made us fe...el welcome. The inside was dimly lit, small and Loud, perfect! The signature dish lived up to the hype: tender pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked scrambled egg that's silky and airy, on top of that sits a raw egg yolk. We beat the egg yolk onto the mixture, gave it a stir, the end result was a magical concoction. Chicken karaage was juicy with only light batter, seasoning was on the milder side. Chicken yakitori (thigh and wings) were smokey and juicy. Washed everything down with cold draft Japanese beer. Whole meals cost JPY 5100 (USD 38).
