サンマルクカフェ 巣鴨店

This was a perfect spot for breakfast or a cup of coffee before you start your day. One of the few places open early, appreciate they open at 7am. Mostly locals (a good sign). Although not having the most extensive menu, we enjoyed the following: Smoothies: peach and strawberry/banana Freshly made..., with chunks of actual fruits on top. Refreshing, sweet but not too much. Breakfast: tried the French toast, potato butter danish and fried egg danish. The French toast was an interesting twist, with two slices of bread creating a sandwich of a custard filling. Yummy. The potato butter danish was a hit, flaky and heated up. The egg danish was also good, but had a slight mayonnaise flavor that is up to personal preference, Treats tried: chocolate macadamia croissant and chocolate croissant. 巣鴨駅周辺には、ドトールやスターバックスなどの喫茶店チェーンが少なく、リーズナブルな価格で手軽にコーヒー等のドリンクを飲む場合、利用客はこのカフェに集中する傾向にあります。それもあってか、店内はあまり清潔な印象ではなく（清掃はしているもののもはや汚れが落ちない状態になっていると思います）、それ以上に利用客の態度もあまり良くない印象です。各席にゴミを放置したまま退店する姿も見られ、さらにPC等で仕事するために長時間居続ける客も少なくありません。 給仕されるドリンクや料理の質は、他のサンマルクカフェと遜色無いですが、スタッフの接客態度は可もなく不可もない、という状況で、悪印象こそ無いものの好印象を...持てる接客とは言えませんでした。 残念ながら、お勧めできるカフェとは言い難いです。 There are few coffee shop chains such as Doutor coffee shop or Starbucks in the vicinity of Sugamo Station, and customers tend to concentrate on this cafe when they want a quick drink such as coffee at a reasonable price. Perhaps because of this, the interior of the cafe does not give a very clean impression (although it is cleaned, I think it is no longer clean), and more than that, the attitude of the customers is also not very good. Some customers leave the restaurant with garbage on their seats, and many stay for a long time to work on their computers or other devices. The quality of the drinks and dishes served is on par with other St. Mark's cafes, but the attitude of the staff is neither good nor bad, and while there are no bad impressions, it cannot be said that the customer service leaves a good impression. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I would recommend this cafe.

We had breakfast everyday here when we were in Tokyo.We loved the sandwiches! The matcha croissant is also a highlight, delicious. The staff is very efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.
