“Great Unagi and Well Worth the Money”
I had a reservation at 830pm on 7th October 2017. Kiri was just two stations from my hotel at Yushima (Taito area). Finding the place at night was slightly tricky even with Googlemap and we had the final left turn too early. We had the fortune of asking an owner of a retail shop who was kind enoug...h to walk us there. Earlier, we had to navigate through some dark alleys although I didn’t fell unsafe as we were a group of four. So, book early and go earlier. I managed To book through the concierge of my credit card company although you could book yourself via online as well. We had a traditional room but western style seating for six although we were a party of four. Service was really good although the staff could only speak some simple English words. First they welcomed us, then helped us with our coats. Then adjusted the air con to make sure we were comfortable. We had two different types of unagi - One grilled and put onto a rice bowl, and another grilled and sliced up and separated from the rice. Both are fantastic. You can taste the goodness of the meat of the eel. There’s dessert that came with what we ordered. And every dish came with it’s own tea. I will come and eat again for sure. We were the last customers and they said good bye through the traditional kneel and bow, Japanese style. Staff of Kirk, keep up the good work !

“The best Unagi!”
The building and interior design represent Japanese traditional look, so comfy and peaceful. I ordered Hitsumabushi - Nagoya style Grilled eel. My first try with the unique eating procedure (3 steps). (1) Put the first portion into bowl and enjoy as it is, (2) Put the second helping and put on some... condiments ( chopped green onions, sesame seeds, etc) Enjoy the changes of tastes, (3) Third portion broth poured over it! sooo deliciousss.. My best unagi in life! and the price are worth it, you better try!

“My Favorite Japanese Unagi restaurant !”
Have you ever eaten Unagi (Eel)cuisine before? We can enjoy Unagi cuisine at Yane-sen town. This restaurant is old-fashioned that retains the atmosphere of the Edo period. Yane-sen is generic name for the around Yanaka, Nezu, Sendagi district of the Taito-ku whole area from Bunkyo-ku,Tokyo. We Japa...nese also important as cooking ingredients in Japanese cuisine, and there are many restaurants called unagiya (eel restaurant) that specialize in eel cuisine. "Unaju" (written as 鰻重)refer to a Japanese dish, which contains broiled eel on rice with sauce in Jubako (generally tiered square wooden boxes with a cover which is coated by urushi Japanese lacquer) or refers to a specific kind of container used to serve broiled eel. Please try❗️
