個室と焼鳥串焼 炭たけ 二子新地

We live nearby and walk by this restaurant on a daily basis. Yet, ever since it opened, maybe a couple of years ago, we never ventured in, thinking it was just an ordinary 'izakaya'. Now we just realised what we missed out on, after decicing to have dinner there for the first time! Service was extre...mely friendly. Food was excellent. We tried the yakitori, and the meat was really tender and ever so tasty. We also loved the chicken wings! There was more on the menu that we would have liked to try, but we will have to leave that for another time, as there is so much choice! Usually when we go to this type of restaurant, we order beer, but then we saw Moët & Chandon on the wine list - at JPY 500 a glass, which seemed like an absolute bargain - which it was! Interesting detail: They don't just bring the glasses with the champagne to your table, but pour it from the bottle in front of you - very elaborately up to the rim! So you definitely get your money worth! The atmosphere is very stylish, not like traditional yakitori restaurants. The place has an up-to-date feel, with elegant music in the background, and there is no smell from the grill, which can often be a problem in this kind of restaurants. So definitely a very pleasant surprise. If only we had known earlier that there is such a great place in our neighbourhood!
