I have been a regular and frequent customer of Chez Olivier for over 5 years. As I've recently returned to the UK, my visit in early September was a "farewell" one. Tokyo is a great city for eating and I've eaten at many fine places there over the last few years - both Michelin-starred and otherwi...se. Chez Olivier is one of my favourites and certainly my favourite French restaurant. Although it's in central Tokyo, it is slightly off the beaten track - but definitely worth seeking out. The food, wine and service are always perfect. The atmosphere is serene but friendly (and not at all intimidating). It's a small place and reflects the personal charm and warmth of Olivier and Aurelie.

We had an exceptionally good dinner here. I booked in advance for our party of 4 (including family from France) and we were all astonished by the superb quality of cuisine, fabulous service (my brother in law talked at length in French with the waiter/maître d who recommended the perfect bottle of F...rench wine) and the ambience in the quiet, elegant dining room. We had a wonderful gastronomic evening - a real treat and excellent value.

On authentic French restaurant worthwile to add on your bucket list. Very refined food. Good service. Price/quality as good as in the best restaurants in France or Europe. Only minus point: Tables were placed a bit too close to each other. But this is reflected in the menu prices. The cuisine itself... is 5xxxxx.

Tokyo has many Michelin Star Restaurants in Tokyo... Several are fake.... But this one is a genuine one. True blue blood food. Top service. Chef present personally. Cooks, serves at time. Extensive wine list... Cost is 20k yen for 2...give or take a bit... Excellent ingredients... Well executed.... ...Cannot find faults. Deserves a 5 star rating... Recommended. Bhagwan.
