Breakfast buffet was extremely disappointing, don’t bother, you are better off going across the road to any restaurant over there for a tastier and cheaper meal. Staff were also surly.

Good Italian restaurant with a friendly English speaking staff. The risoto was cooked to perfection. Very rich with a buttery and cheesy taste, I recommend it. The gnocchi is a real potato gnocchi and it was also very good. The spaghetti was al dente but it was a little bit too thick for my taste. B...y the end, it was a pleasant lunch.

We stayed at Mitsui Garden Ueno for 5 nights and had all our breakfast and dinner meals here. Breakfast had good choices (except for a lack of cereals). Prices was reasonable. Dinner was also very reasonably priced. The staff were excellent - attentive and friendly. We ate pizza, soft shell cra...b, Italian risotto & Korean Stone baked risotto. The pizzas could have done with an extra 30-60 seconds in the oven for our taste. When the Italian Risotto arrives, I thought they had made a mistake because it looked like a seafood soup. But it was the nicest risotto I've ever eaten. It seems to be a very popular restaurant for Japanese folk, as we were always the only Westerners there in the evenings, which we enjoyed.
