This restaurant is next to the JR station and is opposite to the bus station, taxi stand and Keisei station of Narita. It provides western and local food e.g. chocolate cakes, pastas, escargot, focaccia, tea and coffee etc. I like the drink bar the most. The prices are relatively low but the food qu...ality is above average. This is quite unusual for chain restaurants. However, I was not provided with an english menu. You may ask for one if you need it. Staff members are not good at speaking english but their services are very good. Knowing some of their language is essential. Also, prepare enough cash because credit cards are not accepted by the restaurant.

A friend had recommended this chain of restaurants to me before my trip to Japan knowing that I have food allergies and there was one right across the street from our hotel and a 2 minute walk from the Narita train station. It is hard to see at first because it is not on ground level, there are sta...irs up to it from the street and the sign is high up. They offer a wide range of Italian type dishes with pizzas, pasta dishes etc. The service is excellent, the servers bring you the menus and when you are ready to order there is a buzzer on the table and they promptly return to take your order. We ate here twice and both occasions the food was excellent, very tasty and excellent value for money. They serve wine and it is extremely cheap - around $5.00 for 1/2 a litre and was quite nice, a typical house wine but a great price. I would highly recommend this restaurant chain if you are looking for pizza or western type food while on your trip.

Saizeriya (SIZE er EE ya) is not a high-end restaurant. It's a budget family restaurant, a chain like Gusto, Johnathan's, or a few others around Narita. The theme is an Italian restaurant, and depending on which Saizeriya you visit, you can see reproductions of Ghirlandaio or Fra Angelico on the... walls. What I really like about Saizeriya is that they have a good choice of food at a reasonable price. I avoid wheat, and so there are plenty of items on the menu that are either wheat-free or low wheat. If you need to know, you can ask. Someone has a tablet that can tell you what the contents of each menu item are. You can buy small dishes for something like 200 to 400 yen a piece. You can have what you like, and the bill at the end will be reasonable. The (non alcohol) drink bar is 190 yen for "nomihodai" (free refills). The do serve a rather practical wine that is pretty much what you would expect for the price, but good. The wait staff in on call, basically. So you hit the button to get service, and there's a chime. They don't take credit cards, so make sure you have yen. You get to experience an "eki-mae" (front of train station) hangout. Depending on the time of day or evening, it's either mostly the school gang or local Naritans. You're not going to be rushed to order and leave (I imagine if it gets really busy, then yes, but practially, no). So it's a comfortable environment to enjoy the atmosphere of a "hang out" in Japan, that's fully western (forks and spoons), standarized in many ways, but with Japanese "omotenashi" (dedication to the customer). I have eaten at at least half a dozen Saizeriyas around Japan. They do a good job, everywhere and in Narita.
