“Japanese hospitality at its best”
We went to this restaurant because it is Michelin starred. It is a Kaiseki restaurant family style with very few sittings (12). It was mainly fish based and everything was fresh and tasty, meticulously done: you will not leave hungry for sure. It is a unique experience to enjoy a traditional Japanes...e meal in a home made cozy setting. The chef and his wife will go out of their way to make your night memorable and will make you feel at home! It is a reasonably priced for a Kaiseki restaurant (paid around 60000 yens with sake for 4). An amazing unique experience to enjoy a traditional Japanese meal: the ultimate experience for food lovers!

“Home styled Kaiseki (Fish focus)”
Just had dinner at this 12 seater restaurant (4 counter seats, and 2 table of 8 seaters). We sat at the counter and had a nice time in this quiet family restaurant (Chef and Wife (carrying a 5 month’s old baby on her back) n she speaks simple English. We had the full course of about 10 items and av...erage price 18,000y per person. If you want to try what’s offer in a kaiseki menu, please venture to this place. The focus is mainly different types of fish prepared in many different styles. There is no meat offered (my version of the simple menu):- Steam egg Sashimi Slice fish soup Cold dish with varieties Grilled fish Marinated fish Steam fish Seasoned fish Grill fish on rice Dessert The nearest train station is Yotsuya-sanchome station exit 4, walk pass a Family Mart convenience store on the left, and will see a Mizuho Bank, turn left before the bank and walk about 100m and look for the sign on the right side of street and restaurant is located on 1st floor (upstairs), there is a bar below. The Japanese address is attached if you get lost. Overall we enjoyed the eating experience and the different cooking style. This is the less expensive option compared to Ishikawa or Kohaku. You will not go home hungry. Highly recommended for the dining experience if you looking for true Japanese hospitality with local flavors. Both Chef n Wife are nice and friendly people.

“Excellent 1 Michelin Star Family Resturant”
This is a tiny 12 seat family run kaiseki restaurant a short 5 min walk from Shinjuku station down a narrow side street It is on the second floor with no signage at street level and only a small illuminated sign in kanji near the door. So trust Google maps and look UP!! The food is sublime. The s...kill and dedication to his craft by Ohara-san is artisanal and the ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality. There is no menu as Ohara-san prepares what is best that day. Try to sit at the counter so you can watch Ohara-san preform and allowing him to pace pace the meal for you. By family, I mean the wife is front of house with a small 3-4 year old child. For me this adds to the experience. Cost is JPY10,000 + tax. Cash only.
