I always dine here whenever I come and stay in the Hamamatsucho area (the end monorail station from Haneda International Airport). Their pizza oven, which is firewood heated, makes their pizzas super crispy. The best in the area, probably one of the best in Tokyo.

I visited this restaurant 5 years ago and had an amazing meal, it was actually my favourite meal I had when I was in Japan. So when I found myself back in Japan this week I knew I definitely had to return to Dream Factory. Before I left my hotel I checked trip advisor to make sure the restaurant was... still open and saw a couple reviews saying ‘don’t go if you aren’t japanese’ I thought surely not, there must have been an understanding. So I turned up, walked into a completely empty restaurant and asked for a table for 2 to be told ‘booked out no seats’ I asked if I could come back later and was then told ‘booked out all night’ so I guess it’s correct. If you are a tourist don’t bother they don’t want to know you. So disappointing and upsetting as I enjoyed a delicious meal and fantastic service 5 years ago.

Stayed at the small Inn across this eatery and wanted to make a reservation for the following day. The chef immediately showed us the door saying he only serve Japanese guests. Being to Japan many times and this is the first time I encountered such blatant discrimination.

We came with 2 kids, in the rain, starving and cold - the owner (or the chef?) was really rude to us and shut the door saying that they are closed (what was not true according to business hours and to other people dining inside). We didn't even had the chance to ask if a takeout is an option. Bottom... line - we felt really unwelcome.
