“Amazing, non-touristy find for fish lovers near Shinagawa Station and hotels”
We ate at the branch near Shinagawa Station in Tokyo, we were lucky to walk in without a reservation (two people) on a weeknight. Amazing, non-touristy find. Sashimi, grilled fish and other delicious choices. Lively atmosphere. Charming waitress helped us with English menu and identifying the types ...on the platter of fresh whole fish they bring to your table for you to choose from. Reviewers who found fish not fresh must have ordered differently. Good draft beer completed our very filling meal! Not inexpensive but good value.

“Some good dishes but not fresh seafood”
We went to this restaurant because it got really good reviews on Tabelog and pretty good on Google. Our experience didn't match that. We had a couple good dishes - Karage, some kind of potato salad. And then some mediocre dishes like a salad and fried tofu. And then some seafood (tiny shrimp an...d salmon) that was definitely not fresh, which was the primary reason for going to the restaurant. Portions were very small and we left unsatisfied. Was disappointing compared to most other restaurants in Japan so we can't really recommend it, at least for US travelers.
