“Simply amazing!”
Chef’s special meal. Don’t expect to find a menu, but expect to have any previously set expectations to be widely exceeded. Three hour gastronomical delight. Every course original, every course tasty, every course presented with great care on fantastic pottery. Be sure to go hungry, there was too... much food. Pace yourself and be selective. Be ready for a big bill, but expect to remember your meal forever. There are not enough superlatives to adequately express how great this meal was. Lots of sashimi, lots of soups, a little beef and great desserts.

“Good lunch.”
Good lunch, the oyster starter was delicious and the fish mains as well, but some items were just average. My first time there was for dinner and the ingredients are really much better. I could not finish the 6 desserts which are all sweet (Christmas special) and western style, I had expected Japan...ese desserts or fruits. I sat beside a regular customer who came more than 16 times. The meal I ordered is high quality , small portion kaiseki.

“Excellent food and service”
I ate lunch here with my family. The food and service were excellent (we came here two years ago and wanted to come back although we live in London because it was so good). The staff are very friendly and kind and the owner and his wife make a huge effort to make you feel welcome. Each time we have ...been they have served us courses that stay in the memory for a long time. They also had a couple of excellent wines by the glass as well as the usual sake and shochu. It might be quite difficult to understand everything if you don’t speak much Japanese but otherwise I strongly recommend this restaurant.

“nice atmosphere”
for the last dinner on this asiatour we decided to have a traditional kaiseki style menu at the counter. tagetsu was an excellent choice. the food was great, the chef very warm and the price fair. recommended.

“Highly recommend”
One of my favorite Japan restaurants in Tokyo. Much better than Kichisen in Kyoto. Great service. The chief chef walked us out after the meal, very impressed.
