It was an amazing discovery. WE had a great time there the meat with melting in your tongue and such savors. I recommend so much. This place deserve to be knoWn for meat lovers and non as well.

It was a nice intimate restaurant that’s super close to our hotel (Mimaru). You pick the cut of beef and how much you want, then they slice it up for you to be grilled at the table. 160g costs approx 2500yen. Dinner for two plus a 7yr old turned out to be over US $100, including alcohol. Chef speaks... a little English and tried to help best they can. Service was attentive.

Wandering down side streets in Tokyo friends and I stumbled across this hidden gem. There are only 4 tables and the only other occupied one was 4 Japanese salarymen having a great time. We ordered the meat sampler ($30/ea) which was 9 pieces for each of us. The food was fantastic - each piece was pr...epared in front of us by our em wonderful waitress. She also explained how to top each piece w different sauces, wasabi or rice balls. On leaving the chef came out to have a shot of some sort of fruit fermented liquor which was fantastic. We were also each gifted a custom hand warmer pictured below.

From nearby APA Hotel Nihombashi Hamacho, we ventured out to find a good traditional japanese dinner. And oh boy, we did! From the outside, the restaurant doesn't appear like much, very small (six, maybe seven tables), interior and furniture not looking shabby but also not like much. From the windo...ws the place appeared crowded, but there are some more spaces in the rear part. Upon entering I was immediately amazed: The place offers the more traditional seating in the rear part, with shoes off, mats on benches, and a coal-fire-thingy in the middle of the table! The staff was very nice, but did not speak much english. We used a mobile translator and asked for a suggestion of a traditional japanese meal, food and drinks, and the team happily set us up with the best food we ever had. First we got a simple salad, and some pickled vegetables. This was like an appetizer. Next they brought a large basked with slightly various meat - and started off with something that looked like Wagyu, very nice texture: The staff roasts the meats on the open fire right at the table. All pieces of meat were very good, but the Wagyu-like pice was unbelievably good. As dessert, we got "Gelato Sakura", Cherry-Blossom ice cream, it also tasted excellent. We happily paid 22k Yen, about 160 EUR - which is a lot, but food, drinks and service absolutely justified it. We would certainly come back, but maybe first try and translate the menu so we know a little better what we're about to get.
