魚まみれ 眞吉 宮益坂店

Visited yesterday evening around 7:30pm and sat at the counter. I am Japanese and love local fresh seafood which includes but is not limited to sashimi and sushi. As another reviewer points out, the English menu is a joke and does not reflect the breadth and depth of the Japanese menu. We started wi...th shirako ponzu ae (sea bream milt with ponzu) about 5USD which is a steal given the freshness and rareness (will be out of season in a few weeks). Then deep fried fish (bite size) and a couple of nigiri. mains the sashimi special 7 pieces/person about 7USD/person which consisted of 100% fish caught in local waters. then grilled fish and finished with tsukemen (chewy noodles with dipping sauce). The sake list was amazing too. Especially the specials list. many unpasteurized sake which never make it out of Japan. small glasses for about 5USD each. No need to tip, but a 5% surcharge is added if paying by credit card. no fee if paying by cash. If you can't make up your mind or don't have offline google translate, then just go for the 5000USD/person option. Highly recommended in a quiet part of Shibuya but still 5 mins from the station.

Totally authentique!!! Extrem good value for money. No english, be prepared to choose what you see on your neighbours table. Lot of locals there, almost no foreigners. Do not choose from the english menue which just has mini subfraction of their vast choice and huge celebration if the japanese cuisi...ne. A fabulous eating place for me I got to know by pure chance and luck but visited three evenings out of my six I was in Tokio... Go there and enjoy...!
