“Fantastic meal; beautiful environment”
I had a wonderful kaiseki lunch here recently. We dined in a "tea house" styled room that was beautifully appointed and comfortably accommodated our party of four. The meal included fresh foods of the season--a chilled corn soup and fresh hand-made mizu youkan (adzuki bean sweet) particularly stoo...d out. Each course was served in dishes that also complemented the food itself. Many of the dishes were antiques, making the meal even more precious.

“Very good but subtle falvors”
Like a lot of Japanese cooking, the flavors were very settle. For a westerner, this can make things a little difficult. The food was quite good, but because of the subtle flavors, sometimes a little unremarkable. We also ate at Usuki Fugu Yamdaya and Umi this trip. Seisoka came in third behind those... two restaurants.
