“Not worth the very high prices”
Very expensive and not worth it. The decor is nice. The service was good. However, the food was very disappointing. We ordered the monthly menu which was over $100 per person. An 8 oz kirin draft was $10. While i am not an expert on authentic Cantonese food, i found most of the dishes that we...re served too be tasteless and the portion sizes extremely small. I have had better choices Chinese food in small local restaurants costing less than a quarter of this meal. Think Hyatt is really gouging here. By comparison the night before, we had an amazing kaiseki dinner at a different 5 star hotel (the Hoshinoya) for nearly the same price and it blew this away.

“Excellent Chinese food in Tokyo”
We had a set banquet of about 7-8 courses. All the courses were amazing and so authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

“A Touch of Heart”
We visited Chinaroom on a weekend and enjoyed the Dim Sum Touch of Heart Course. The restaurant is in the Roppongi Hills Complex, is an elegant eatery, and reservations are a must. We had been in Japan for a while, and so were missing our Hong Kong dining experiences, Hong Kong dim sum to be exact.... The restaurant features what it calls a "Touch of Heart Course," which includes an appetiser plate, soup, a specialty dim sum selection, an "all you can taste" dim sum menu, and an "all you taste" desert menu. The lunch will set you back JPY5,200, but we felt it was great value, as the selections were delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, your lunch cannot last more than 90 minutes, and Chinaroom is strict with that deadline. Fortunately, the wait staff encourages guests to order early and often. For example, when it came time to order dessert, our waiter told us to "order them all." He was right! The restaurant is very clean, the service is impeccable, and the food is scrumptious.
