“This is NOT Omakase”
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. We booked the 29,800 yen nigiri omakase and arrived exactly on time, yet received no greeting from either the chef or the staff. Although the restaurant was empty when we arrived, we were seated in a private room instead of the counter, being told ...it was fully booked. By the time we left, only two other guests had arrived, which made this explanation hard to believe. Despite the poor service, a 10% service charge (6,000 yen) was still applied. The food quality did not match the price. Some fish, especially the tuna, did not taste fresh. For a high-end omakase in Tokyo, the variety was extremely limited, with multiple tuna-based dishes that felt repetitive. The chawanmushi had an unusually strong fishy smell, and even the wet towel had an unpleasant old odor. The entire omakase was served in under 30 minutes, making the experience feel rushed and lacking any sense of care. Given the price and overall quality, this restaurant offers very poor value and is not one I would return to.
