LA BETTOLA da Ochiai

We had 3 course dinner plus dolce. Every dishes were very nice, affordable price. No alcohol drink under current circumstances, however, It was great time for us.

In Japan from the UK. Authentic Italian fare with a Japanese twist, what could be better! Attentive service with a smile. Not inexpensive but a real treat and worth every penny.

so first i want to say...im italian :-) i went to la bettola with my japanese amore and i was really surprised. i start with the "ambiente" :-) la bettola looks like an osteria in italy...and i liked very much. the waiter was friendly and attentively. we eat a 3 course dinner..antipasti, pasta and f...ish/meat..the price, amazing! the food..great!! the pasta was reallly al dente, and honestly i didnt aspect this in japan. i live in germany and most of the italian restaurant taht i tried, cant cook al dente..so, big compliments to tokyo "la bettola". at all..i enjoyed the evening with my girlfriend much. i want go to la bettola soon..and i hope the quality and the service are like my first time there:-) but im sure it is!! arigatou gozaimasu la bettola:-)

I went there for lunch with my husband. I read it is the most difficult restaurant to book a table. We were on time but we saw lots of people on the street and we were also told to wait outside in over 30 degree heat in the sun. I complained but was told they were putting people according to the ...list. I thought then why I had to reserve. What is the use of making a reservation if you cannot rotate the table on time? After waiting in heat for 10 minutes we were lead to a table. Poorly furnished side room with the bench side two benches put together, in short I was sitting very uncomfortably. They did not even have the table ready and no clothe napkins(I had to ask one) and another long wait until they took an order and the food was too salty and they staff did not clear the finished plate and all the time we had finished plate in front of us. In short they have no good service. I had initially thought of going there with other people but went to check out if it is good. Good I did. It would have been embarrassing to take our friends. I will never go there.

Italian food well presented and delicious. A busy restaurant needing a reservation. The menu is varied. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. English menu available.
