This was the best dining experience of my life. I have no idea how I found this restaurant (travelling from London) but I’m so glad I did. My boyfriend and I went for dinner. We took a taxi and wondered where on earth we were going as it’s quite far into the suburbs! Absolutely worth the trip. We’ve... never experienced such an aunthentic and unique dining experience. The sushi counter seats just 8 people. All local. Pick a tasting menu and just sit back and soak up the aunthetic atmosphere and experience. It feels like you’re in someone’s living room. Maybe in the 70s! It’s run by just one man. Waiting on you and making the sushi. We liked him very much. He’s quirky and despite not speaking much English we could tell he had a good sense of humour and we made him laugh. He taught us the right way to eat sushi - pick it up and shove it in in one shot! It was great trying types of sushi we hadn’t tried before and we loved the open counter and watching him make it. Delicious! Thank you so much for such a memorable evening. Make sure you book a few weeks in advance. If you are a foreigner ask your hotel to call and book for you. You will not regret it.
