This restaurant is inside the magnificent Palace Hotel Tokyo, at the 6th floor. It offers an elegant atmosphere with an incredible food. We enjoyed their amazing 13 dishes dinner menu. We started with their original branded sake and ended with their impressive seasonal dessert, never to be missed, e...ven for dessert agnostics. It was a delicious meal, with an amazing equilibrium among all dishes. Their five types of delicaces were just sublime. Then the soup was excellent, with a perfect Combination of ingredients. Sashimi was astonishing, my best ever. Sea bream and Wagyu were excellent, both in the grilled dish and in the steamed dish. All in all it was an excellent experience.

This restaurant is a complete tourist trap and I'm starting to think that a Michelin * holds less and less validity, especially amongst the Japanese chefs/ cuisine. My husband and i love fine dining and are willing to pay exorbitant prices for a great meal and experience. The pricing at Sushi Kanesa...ka is completely disproportionate to the quality of the sushi and the overall experience. The sushi is not bad, but it is certainly not excellent and otherwise inferior to the 1-3 star Japanese restaurants in Singapore.

A breathtaking experience Perfect food. So simple and yet so wonderful. A straightforward restaurant, dignified but without smoke and mirrors. Just great ingredients, wonderful straightforward sushi, and an elegant yet minimalistic design.

Sushi Kanesaka was recommended to us by a local contact in Tokyo who works at a school that trains sushi chefs. The head chef at Kanesaka teaches at this school. The restaurant is located in the beautiful Palace Hotel and like most sushi-yas has a very small number of seats. Good sushi is all... about the vinegar rice and at Kanesaka the rice is the best that I've ever had. Chef Kensuke-san was our sushi master for the evening and he did a wonderful job. Each course was superb and delicious. We bonded with Chef Kensuke-san over the fact that he worked in Canada for a period of time. While there was a sign that forbid photos being taken I managed to snap a few images of what was served. This was my first time eating sushi in Japan and it confirmed for me that good sushi is the same regardless of whether it is eaten in Tokyo, Toronto, LA., London or elswhere in the world. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends and family.
