“Sophisticated Italian food that will blow your socks off.”
The little spot a short walk from the JR station excels in creating authentic & surprisingly sophisticated Italian food. This is not a spaghetti & meatballs joint. Pastas are excellent & two pork dishes (porchetta & grilled rare boar ) that the table shared, were well seasoned & in a sufficient por...tion for sharing. The pork & boar were sourced from Hokkaido & Kyushu ( respectively). The small dessert selection should not be overlooked. The not overly sweet Panna cotta was the best I have ever had. Espresso excellent. Be forewarned though that the menu is in Japanese & service staff does not speak english well. Translate the menu for yourself before hand & come armed with a reservation as this place only has a few tables.

“Osteria e Bottega S is best Italian food in Chigasaki”
My wife and I love "Esse" (S) and have made it our go-to Italian restaurant in Chigasaki. Cozy and welcoming, the owner-chef turns out really tasty meals and even hand-makes the mozzarella cheese he uses. He generously modifies dishes to accommodate my "no meat" requests. Our Italian friend is a reg...ular customer, which says a lot. Easy 5 minute walk up the main road from Chigasaki JR station south exit toward the beach. "S" is on the right side of that street. I highly recommend "Esse" (S).

Great restaurant located close to the station, Hiro San owner and chef makes unbelievable food, he is also making Fresh Mozzarella ( おすすめ ) I’m Italian and I recommend this restaurant! Enjoy, Buon Appetito!!
