I still generally prefer regular Mos Burger for that classic fast-food burger taste, but Mos Premium is a unique, worthwhile experience at least once if you're used to the standard chain. It feels like an upscale burger spot. Japanese diners were eating burgers with forks and knives, which felt sup...er weird coming from the West, but we tried it and it was fun to go along with the local style. Higher-quality meat and creative, unique burger options not found at regular Mos Burger. I went with a simple garlic and onion burger, it was really tasty. Fries were on par with regular Mos, but the standout was their homemade potato chips, hands down some of the best I've ever had. If you visit Mos Premium, get these as a side; they're a must-try. My travel companions got parfaits for dessert, and they looked excellent (I skipped dessert myself). Only minor downside: If you don't like cheese on your burgers, options are limited—most burgers come with cheese, and customizing by asking to remove it isn't really the Japanese way (unlike in the U.S.). Overall, very delicious and a nice change of pace. I still lean toward cheaper, classic Mos Burger for everyday eats, but for a restaurant-style burger and a fun, elevated experience, Mos Premium is highly recommended, the quality shines through.
