“Not Malaysian Food at All”
This is a horrible spot that claims to serve Malaysia food but it is not Malaysia food. I think the owner is rather dishonest to serve up what is not Malaysian food so as to charge a high price for its business. Please see for yourself. Only gullible Japanese people would buy it. It was a bad experi...ence.

“One of the oldest but…”
A Malaysian restaurant in Ikebukuro that’s been in business for at least 34 years. Although they are Halal certified, their food isn’t authentic but good to try out. The decor has a nice vibe and even sells Malaysian ingredients. The only thing that surprised me was that the owner tends to forget wh...at you ordered.

“Halal Restaurant Near Ikebukuro Station”
It was a 'mistake' when we came to Malaychan 2 (Dua). We were from Sunshine City. We were told by the owner that Malauchan 2 is not a halal restaurant. The owner, Seno, was very kind, he found and treat us taxi to Malaychan 1 (Satu), a halal one. Thanks, Seno. Malaychan 1 serves menu which almost t...he same with Indonesian menu. We loved it. The owner gave us chance to be served by her Moslem cook in private. The cook was very kind & pleasant; and the waiter served us warm and nicely. We ordered satay and nasi goreng. We thought they were delicious. I think Malaychan 1 is recommended restaurant especially for Moslem. I just read that it is halal certified restaurant. You can find it install in front of the restaurant. Insya Allah.

“IT TASTE LIKE MALAY FOOD.”
I ate at Malaychan in December 2017 when I visited Tokyo for my holiday. I reluctantly went to Malaychan because my mother really needed to eat Malay food (my family is Malay by the way); I love Japanese food so much that I feel it is a waste if I have to spend even one meal time to eat my own's cul...ture food, which I have already been doing all my life. However, I do understand that my mother need for comfort food so we went. And I've got to say, it was delicious. It really tasted like Malay food. Of course, it is not 100% the same, but what do you expect? The takoyakis made by Malays or any other race for that matter will not taste 100% the same like if it was made by the Japanese; now that I'd tasted takoyakis made by Japanese when I was in Tokyo, they were so much more 'oishi' in comparison to the ones made back at my own home. However, it does not mean the takoyakis made by my own race is disgusting. Anyway, Kudos to the Japanese for actually learning the Malay cuisine. And if you need any more assurance about how 'oiishi' Malaychan's food is, my mother travelled on her own from ochiai-minami nagasaki to ikebukuro on the last day of our holiday to dine one last time at Malaychan.

“Nice and Cosy Restaurant”
I had my first dinner at this restaurant when I arrived at Ikebukuro. It was a pleasant experience. The place is relatively easy to find using Google Map. Just look for the West Exit of the Ikebukuro Station and you should be able to find your way - about 750m away. The restaurant serves Malay ...Food and they tasted really nice. The dining area is cosy . The staffs were friendly and chatty too. I'll be back to this place when I visited Ikebukuro again.
