It is great that this Japanese crab paradise originated in Osaka have opened many branches in Tokyo. Just in Shinjuku they already have three outlets. Their 8-course set with crabs prepared ingeniously in different styles are must try. Now we can enjoy delicious crabs in Tokyo as well.

I always always book a reservation at this restaurant whenever I visit Japan. They offer so many set menus at different price point to your liking. I am never disappointed when I dine here. I usually order the 80-100 dollar menu set and I am usually stuffed after each meal. Service is always exce...llent. Try to make reservation in advance, especially on big holidays such as the Golden Week, New Year and Christmas. A lot of tourists from China come here for holidays also. For major holidays like the Chinese National Day Golden Week holiday, try to book ahead also. The restaurant has an English version, so you can try to book there.

We saw a lot of reviews about this restaurant before coming to Japan, so we decided to try it. There are several of them near the hotel we stay at. Finally, we chose the one located in 3 Chome, Shinjuku. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The staff were super friendly and polite. We had lunch there.... The price for a lunch set was reasonable (¥3780/set). At first, we thought the portion was small ( boiled crab legs, raw crab, carb salad, crab croquettes, crab rice, miso soup and dessert), but it ended up we were quite full. Two of us had the Hana no mai sets and one had the kani suki (hot pot ¥3240 - egg tofu, rice porridge, crab and veggie hot pot). All the dishes were very delicious. It’s definitely the best place for crabs. We spent ¥11800 for three sets of meals, a Coca Cola and a hot oolong tea.

This is a must visit for most of the Hong Kongers when they visit Japan because they offer the most delicious crab dishes at the most reasonable price! There are so many different sets to choose from and man they fill you up! You will always walk away feeling super satisfied after your visit! Will d...efinitely visit again!

After the Osaka Kanidoruku, we decided to try this one in Shinjuku which is the main branch. The Shiori crab course at 6480 yen is well worth the money as you can taste the different crabs dishes. We also ordered separately the crab porridge, crab sushi and chanwan mushi (steamed egg). All of the d...ishes are very delicious. Would recommend this restaurant for crab lovers.
