A branch of the famous big crab from Osaka, it is highly recommended to snag a reservation if you wish to dine here. We weren't lucky in making a reservation as they claimed our requested time slot was full, so we did the next best thing: being the first in line at the opening hour, they can't deny ...us entry when it just open shop :) In terms of freshness, we had better crabs when in Hokkaido, but for the price we paid (10k Yen), we had two different crab set meals and another 1/2 boiled snow crab. In terms of value, we ain't shortchanged as there were crabs in every single dish being served, to the point of reaching crab coma. If you are craving for quality crabs, you probably wanna look elsewhere. But if you're willing to spend a big more for crazy quantity and above average quality, it's worth putting in effort to get a seat here. PS: Get the window seat if possible, you can see Ueno park from the high floor, so it look spectacular in Spring (Sakura bloom) and Autumn (red leaves).

We were very lucky to get a reservation here because our Tokyo guide did it for us and we got the last available at 5PM with 2 days notice. After eating the food I can see why-it was fantastic. The crab is fresh from the docks, prepared grilled, fried, tempura, or cheesy. If you order the grilled th...ey bring a miniature grill to the table and let you do your own to perfection. This location would have been very hard to find without our guide. It is located on what I think is the 3rd floor of a high-rise building. Wish more of these restaurants would open world-wide-it would definitely be a hit anywhere. The only problem I could see was in Japan all the food is put on the table where-ever it will fit, so some of it may get eaten by the wrong person. More can be ordered but it takes a long time to arrive.
