“Pizza authentically good.”
My plates were putting like no one’s business and I needed to have a seat, and some (hopefully) good luncheon. I spotted the Italian flag from across the road and in I went. Busy Tokyo lunch service. Place was pretty full of twenty something professionals on the set lunch menu. The staffs - all... very friendly and welcoming - don’t speak the King’s, and I’m afraid my Japanese is embarrassingly weak. And I must pass on my thanks to the two handsome girls to my right who helped clear up a misunderstanding related to garlic. I ordered a margarita and a glass of house red. The wine was at the perfect temperature although I have marked them down for a less than completely clean glass. I didn’t raise it, I couldn’t be bothered with the language gap, and I just 180-d the glass. My pizza was glorious. As good as any I’ve had in Italy. The picture, I hope, speaks a thousand words. Would have been a 5 star were it not for the glass. I won’t be able to return as I’m booked in elsewhere for the remainder of my time in Japan, but I absolutely would return in a flash.
