月島もんじゃ もへじ 渋谷スクランブルスクエア

This is located next to shibuya scramble in a mall with many different restaurants. The wait was actually about 40 minutes without a reservation but it was worth it. The servers were helpful and helped us with our selection. Then someone cooks the monjayaki for you at your table. We liked the select...ion we ordered, especially the one with squid. I would recommend this place.

Just had to fall into this tourist magnet so we could get the T-shirt (We've been to Bali too). Was not too crowded even if still quite busy and had the opportunity of running the gauntlet a couple of times - so definitely scratched that itch. Worth a look and the area around is also quite intere...sting. Don't forget to pay your respects to Hachiko the famous canine - whose statue is just outside the train station.

This restaurant is inside the Shibuya Scramble Bldg which houses the Shibuya Sky Observatory so this is a nice and convenient option after going up to Shibuya Sky. They serve okonomoyaki and monjayaki so we wanted to try them since we've never had this type of Japanese food. Long line ups all the ti...me so try to get there by 5 pm which we did but still waiting about 15 minutes. The food is grilled in front of you by a server and it took her about 7 mins so don't wear fancy clothes since they were smell. We quite enjoyed the experience and the food was quite tasty but a bit too salty for my taste. Great and friendly server and she tried to speak with us in her limited English and we appreciated that. These dishes are kind of like an omelet cooked on a grill with the monjayaki being a bit more runny. You get lots of cabbage and onions with the dishes and you can choose from different protein like chicken beef seafood etc. great to try at least once but this would not be our first choice just because of personal taste. It's great for get together with friends and quite reasonable. Be aware that this restaurant will charge a table charge per person but they cooked each of us a plain omelet. It may have been stated in the menu but we didn't see it. We only found out after we got the bill but they explained to us it's called an otoshi and is typical in Japan

Good service, friendly, helpful, wait staff were careful to explain menu to us in English so we knew what we were ordering and explained as they were cooking the food. Friendly conversation. Excellent, tasty food. Enjoyable experience with Kengo and Atsuki as our cooks!
