Comfortable place, feel like close to a home. Steak was high quality. We rather ordered “special premium” since it should have been too fatty for us. Sirloin 200g was tasty enough and came along with melon with prosciutto as a starter, a bowl of soup and salad. Desert menu was a piece of cake. We t...otally enjoyed this restaurant.

"Steak,Shabu-shabu, Sukiyaki" is what they state; attached (right next door) to a butcher's by the same name, the restaurant is "Western" style and specialise in meat-based meals. I took my 88 year old mother in a wheelchair (via taxi, to which the staff did not bat an eyelid) and the family; all 5 ...of us were readily accommodated seating wise, somewhat atypical in Japan, where the tables and spaces tend to cater for up to 4 very small people. . For our lunchtime visit, the menu was largely based around 'set menus' with soup, salad, (tiny) mashed potato/brocoli/carrot on the plate, rice/roll & dessert, tea/coffee built in, but they do do 'just steak'.You can buy your steak (basically wagyu) in different cuts (rump, sirloin, or fillet) in sizes (from 150 to 300 gram sizes, from memory); they also had grilled chicken and some pork based dishes on the lunch menu. Like many elderly, my mother was concerned about whether she would be able to chew her food - I thought she'd opt for the stew, but she decided she'd try the fillet steak; the stern-looking but kindly manageress asked, just before the food arrived, whether she'd like the steak cut up in smaller pieces,without being patronising in any way. I should add Mum had no problem with the steak, and my son, used to NZ meat, said he'd never had such tender rump.I suspect the sukiyaki & shabu-shabu to be good. For those of you coming by train, it is only "161 metres" fromSeijo-Gakuen Station (3 minutes walk from he North Exit, Seijo-Gakuen on the Odakyu Line out of Shinjuku)
