“Tasty whitebait donburi”
This place is located near Kamakura Station, a midpoint between the station and the famous Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. We drop by before heading to the shrine. The owner used to be a fishmonger. Hence, good sea food. We ordered a shirasu donburi (whitebait, famous local fish) and maguro (tuna) donburi. B...oth come with few side dishes. Shirasu donburi was excellent with ponzu shoyu (soy sauce). Fresh and no fishy taste. Chutoro (fattier part, not the fattiest of tuna) donburi was also good. Of course there are many restaurants that serve better tuna donburi. But considering the price, it was a good deal. There are more menu items to choose. I would say that the food to go for is the whitebait donburi.
