“Horrible service”
I walked in an hour and 15 minutes before closing and the staff member immediately crossed his arms and said no food only drinks. I pressed a bit and he said i could order pizza. After sitting down I pushed harder and I was told I could order anything. they hadn't done last order yet. I than ordered... a glass of wine and when we went to order a second round he told us they had no red wine at all in teh shop. I looked over on the shelf and there were numerous bottles. When he returned withmy white wine I asked him about the bottle on the shelf and he said they were white wine bottles. When I went to leave I confronted him and he said they were only for sale by the bottle. When I didn't handle the situation very well I heard an english speaking staff agree with me that he doesn't know how to manage a restaurant. Drinks came out slow and food was just ok. Service was not acceptable. this took place at the Sumitomo branch in Shinjuku on 9/3

“Excellent Oysters - Many to chose from”
We loved the Golden Gai area and were astonished at the tiny drinking dens and restaurants in this part of Shinjuku (Tokyo). While it was almost impossible to just walk in to a Restaurant reservations for future nights were easy. At Ostrea they even remembered our name when we walked in the next nig...ht. The oysters were plump and wonderful washed down with a chilled white wine. Followed by a basil and oyster risotto we left filled, comfortable and happy.
